Privacy notice
What this website collects, why, who sees it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. Last updated 30 September 2026.
Who we are
This website is run by Plunq, (“Plunq”, “we”, “us”). We decide how the personal data described here is used, which makes us its controller under UK and EU data protection law. For anything in this notice, email info@plunq.co.
What we collect
- How you use the site. Pages you view, links and buttons you click, how far you scroll, the page that sent you here, your browser, device type and screen size, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address. We don’t link any of this to your name or email.
- The “I want to…” box. If you pick one of its suggestions, such as “Defect closure”, we record which one. We don’t record the words you type. When you send it, your words go to Calendly to fill in the notes on your booking.
- When you book a call. Calendly collects your name, email address and anything you add to the booking, and shares the booking with us.
- When you email us. Your email address and whatever you choose to send.
- When any page loads. Our host (GitHub Pages) and our font service (Google Fonts) receive your IP address and browser details so they can deliver the page and keep their services secure.
We don’t collect special category data, we don’t sell personal data, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Why we use it
- Analytics, to see which parts of the site help people and to improve it. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a useful website.
- Bookings and email, to arrange the call you asked for, prepare for it and reply to you. Our legal basis is taking steps you asked for before any contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
Cookies
Our analytics service, PostHog, stores an identifier in a cookie and in your browser’s local storage, named
ph_…_posthog, so it can tell a return visit from a new one. It lasts up to a year. Calendly sets its own
cookies when its booking window opens. You can clear or block these in your browser settings, and most tracker
blockers stop the analytics altogether. The site works fully without them.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of services to run the site. Each one handles your data only to provide its service.

Where data goes to the United States, it is protected by the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by the standard contractual clauses these providers offer. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Analytics: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Bookings and emails: while we are in touch about working together, and no more than two years after our last contact, unless you become a customer.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, send it to you or someone else in a portable form, or stop using it for analytics. Email info@plunq.co and we’ll reply within one month. There is no charge.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we use personal data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
